Location was preferred. Rooms were ok. Clean? Sure.. you get what you pay for. ? Service is where the problem lives: one stay, a hotel towel was used to clean a spill, upon returning we were told there was a $50 fee for the one towel that had "pee" on it, I explained that it wasn't to no evail and paid the extra $50 for one of their cheap towels... Next stay, same thing except this time it was oj on a sheet (I have 4 kids) - I told staff sorry and told them I'd pay the difference again if I needed to - they seemed to be understanding at the time. Next time I showed up - got told that they're not going to rent to us anymore due to this. The exact words were "can't rent" on my profile...

Do not recommend this place at all. It was exactly what you'd expect from a bad Motel. Location was not overly safe. It appeared as though most of the clientele was there to engage in drinking and weed smoking as the smell kept wafting into a room all night. It was very loud could hear all the highway noise as well as the other guests. Front desk staff look to be a little bit overwhelmed.

My 5 year old daughter and her father just stayed at this motel 6 last night. They had to request to switch rooms because my daughter and her father both woke up to bed bugs biting them up. The motel not only refused to give them a refund but wouldn't refund the whole deposit due to having to change rooms. Anyone who doesn't mind bed bugs this is the place for you. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRASHY MOTEL.

Room felt muggy inside, small used roll of toilet paper left on roller in bathroom. Had to go to the front desk to get more. TV did no work for my two day stay, desk told me they would fix it or move me, then told me it's possibly like this in all rooms. No bathing towels in bathroom just a small hand towel and wash cloth, had to go back to the front desk and ask. The atmosphere there is well I will mind my tounge... I will not come back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Stay away from this place at all costs. The rooms reek of cigarette smoke, even though they are non-smoking. There are constant methods heads coming through to fill plastic bags with ice and the staff if incompetent. On a road trip and just needed a place to stay. Booked online and got a confirmation code but when I got to the property they said I didn’t show up in the computer. I ended up calling Motel 6 corporate and they confirmed that I was in the system and had paid but that there were server errors so it wasn’t showing up at the property. They asked me to wait 30min…. Nothing changed. By 11:30pm called corporate again and they assured me that it would be fixed if I waited another 30min and promised that they would either refund my money or book me in another hotel if it wasn’t. I had her say it over speaker phone so the front desk person could hear. While I waited kept seeing these shady people rolling up on BMX bikes to steal ice. Now it’s past midnight and no resolution. Called back. They said I should wait longer. I asked for a refund and told them I didn’t want to stay there anymore. They said they could cancel the reservation BUT I wouldn’t get my money back. Because I had booked it through Capital One Travel. But the problem was on their side not Capital One so they said I had to deal with the hotel. Motel 6 said Call Customer Care and they will fix it….called the number customer care was closed. Finally my name pops up. She says she still can’t cancel it. Gives me a room where the air conditioner is broken and stuck on 60degrees….way too cold but it was 106 in Redding that day. Terrible place and I still can’t get the cigarette stink out of my luggage. Called customer care the next day and of course they were of no help. ———- Update: Was told would get a partial refund from Motel 6 corp but never did. Do not stay at Motel 6.

Alright, over 160 dollars for one room, one bed, two nights. The customer service was not exceptional, the workers did not show an ounce of consideration or care. Absolutely no checking in early, they send you away until check-in time. There is no place to sit and wait, so hopefully you have somewhere to be or can sit in your car until then. We got booked into the vary farthest room, on the second floor, that is only obtainable by stairs at the opposite end of the building. So it was difficult to get our stuff to the room and through the door that you physically have to shove open. (the door looks disgusting with dirty marks from being touched around the lock and doorknob.) The room... is fine. One bed, little nightstand, little desk, a hanging rod with some hangers, sink, counter and bathroom. The lighting is terrible with two lamps on the wall on one side of the bed only. The bed is nothing special, comfy enough for exhausted travelers who are just happy to be off the ground. The sheets and pillow cases definitely looked questionable, they were not entirely clean. Thankfully the air conditioning works, however, it's full of dust and junk. Certainly want to avoid ever touching it. The outlets are hard to get to, low to the floor and hiden behind furniture. The room smelled terribly stong of chemicals, so hopefully its actually sanitary. ? I am greatfull that this place is pet friendly, but there are extra fees added on for it. There is no breakfast served, and I'm not sure I'd trust it enough to eat even if they did.

Linens were not very clean. My room had no refrigerator, the Internet/Wifi was awful, no place in the lobby/office to sit and too far from downtown for me. The two things that I liked about it was I had a room downstairs on street level where I was able to store my bicycle and there were shopping centers nearby.

Rooms were clean. My wife was a bit happier that they had a bath tub/shower combo instead of only a shower. It was a quiet nice experience. Check-in person was pleasant. No breakfast, but I didn't expect one. Overall, a good experience.

My room was horrible. The mattress felt more like a box spring, it had a dip down the center so you could only sleep on one side or you'd roll onto the other side. Floor was dirty. A lot of long term guests, Lots of cars clearly being lived in in the parking lot. Overall mess. Service was fine, location is great, but you can do better.

This motel is way too highly rated for what you get. A clean room is the bare minimum, which is provided. What you don’t get is as follows: hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, clean towels big enough to dry yourself with, good reception, decent wifi, a microwave, a fridge, a working ice machine, and outlets next to your bed. This is a clean place to sleep. If you come expecting anything else you will be disappointed. This is a 2 star hotel at its best, and it does not deserve to be ranked anything higher than that.
