Turtle Bay Lodge receives a mixed bag of reviews, with recent guests praising the cleanliness and helpful staff, while older reviews highlight significant cleanliness and maintenance issues, as well as questionable customer service. The lodge's convenient location is a recurring positive, but the inconsistent quality raises concerns about reliability.
It's comfy, and convenient at times. When life is inconvenient for you.
Nice clean rooms. The on site management are great. I would definitely refer this little lodge. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. Evelyn & Kristian
This lodge was great. 10 stars. Was passing through town & didn’t make a reservation, called a bunch of places 4th of July weekend so everything was sold out but luckily there was a room here with a king bed available at midnight thank god. It was very clean & sanitary bed was very comfy as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The lady in the office was very nice as well
This is a filthy uncomfortable motel. Called at 9:00 pm to reserve a king room and was told at 10:30 when we arrived that the king room was not available. Exhausted we took a bigger room that we did not need for $30 more. The room was so dirty the pillows, pillow cases and bedding did not look clean at all. Mold in the bathroom. We had just driven 10 hours and literally had no choice but to stay. So gross. The two towels and sliver of soap were the only amenities, so yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.
I stayed here some time back . I really enjoyed my stay the room was clean and quiet. Housekeeping was prompt. Closes to shopping and bus . That is helpful for those without their own transportation. Also , it is close to the Sacramento river, river trails, as well as Caldwell park, and downtown.
Small motel with less then average rooms. Dirty, bad smells, things don't work and there is usually some sketchy characters lurking around. Owners are also rude and unaccommodating.. Definitely don't make you feel welcome or even wanted. Additionally the price is way too high for what you get.
Had to get a room for the night after leaving the er. Broke foot and tailbone. Husband had to go and unload the houseboat the next morning. Called front desk couple times telling them would need a late check out. They charged us 30.00 and hour for every extra hour and told us if we were still there after 1 p.m. they were going to charge for a full day. Husband got there at 1:15. They didn't charge for the full extra day. I understand running a business. But wow. It's not even a 2 star hotel. The were very rude about it. Will not stay there again.
