3 months agoJust hit the road again, and have to leave a review before I forget! It’s been YEARS since I’ve stayed in a Best Western, and this property was fantastic. Every staff member we met was SO sweet and helpful, the room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was actually great. We had our dog with us for the stay, too! To be honest I have stupid high expectations for hotels, and I was so impressed.

4 months agoThe rooms are recently renovated! The outside looks sketch but the rooms are modern now and very comfy. I had a pet friendly room and it was very clean. There's a dog area with grass in the back too. The EV chargers work fantastic and are very affordable! Find them on Plugshare. The onsite restaurant is a really really good too! Never seen a nice restaurant attached to a best western before lol.

5 months agoRooms are spotless but mine lack a microwave ?. Staff was cool. Pool and spa were well kept. Parking is safe and plentiful. The attached independent restaurant/bar sells me on staying here. They serve to notch food and drinks by day and night but lower the quality for the hotel in the morning. Your stay comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet that is better than any hotel I have ever been to and sadly better than most restaurants.

6 months agoThe beds and pillows were so comfortable we literally almost slept in past the continental breakfast time (9:30) which is usually NOT like us! Resuraunt attached is amazingly delicious with great staff, and the heated pool & spa were just what our kids and family needed after a long drive! Would stay here again any time!

6 months agoFirst of all, the room was spotless, very modern and the king size bed was super comfortable!! Second, the staff were very friendly and welcoming!!! Third, the restaurant on site, C.R. Gibbs had a great menu, excellent breakfast, included a large gluten free menu, and it was delicious!!! Thank you Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn for your hospitality!!!

7 months agoI had a pleasurable stay at the Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn while on a four day getaway to Redding and Burney Falls. Despite some minor issues, I would consider staying here again. The check-in and check-out experiences were friendly and efficient. I was acknowledged as a Best Western Rewards Gold member and given two bottles of water. I was assigned an upstairs room in the rear wing of the hotel closest to the freeway. The downstairs rooms were undergoing refurbishment. The freeway noise potentially posed an issue, but I was able to sleep well. The body wash and shampoo dispensers in the shower appeared to be low, so I was able to request refills. The breakfast buffet at the CR Gibbs Grille was very satisfying with freshly prepared eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes, french toast, and biscuits. Hopefully next time I'll get to stay in one of the refurbished rooms away from the freeway.

7 months agoFine stay in Redding. + Clean room, nice staff, and close enough to efficiently get off the highway for the day without hearing I5 all night. Felt safe. Continental breakfast was nothing to write home about. - Jacuzzi was not working, towels were very scratchy, continental breakfast was nothing to write home about.

8 months agoWe had a pet friendly room. Room was very clean, no smell of animals, comfy bed. Very nicely remodeled considering it's an older hotel. The only 3 things I would mention 1. The fitted sheets didn't fit the mattress 2. The air conditioning unit would never shut off so it was a bit noisy. 3. There is grass for the dogs too potty, it's just all the way at the back of the hotel. Overall, we will stay here again on our travels.

9 months agoit's in the details! this is an older hotel, but it is immaculate. the maintenance is invisible. the details and landscaping around the pool area is quite impressive. much nicer than many hotels at a higher price point. the staff were all very friendly, yet professional. complimentary breakfast was excellent.

10 months agoI was moving across the country and booked a room here. My Uhaul broke down, and I called to have my reservation moved to the next day. They refused to change the room because I was 3 hours past the cancellation window and was charged the full cost of the room despite not staying there. Absolutely reprehensible way to treat people that are already having a rough time. I HIGHLY recommend you avoid this establishment as well as other Best Westerns. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.
