The Holiday Inn Redding consistently receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its friendly and attentive staff, especially Caleb Pendergast and the restaurant team. Recent renovations have enhanced the appearance of the property, and its convenient location is a frequent highlight. However, some guests have reported issues with room amenities, inconsistent breakfast quality, and outdated building features.
I photographed a large Chamber of Commerce event there recently. The staff did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly. That was a lot of people to get served. Caleb P. Went out of his way to fix me a To Go box since I never get a chance to eat dinner. Made my night and the food was excellent. Thanks Caleb!
We recently had the pleasure of attending the 47th Annual Legends & Leaders Awards Gala, hosted by the Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce at the Holiday Inn Redding. While the event itself was inspiring, I have to give a special shoutout to the hotel’s restaurant and banquet team for making the evening truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything was executed flawlessly, turning what could have been a standard awards night into a seamless, high-class experience. The food was absolutely delicious. Service-wise, it was top-tier all around. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, ensuring drinks were refilled promptly and any requests were handled with ease. A huge part of what made the guest experience so exceptional was Caleb Pendergast, who oversees guest relations. He was everywhere yet unobtrusive, personally checking in on tables, coordinating with the event organizers, and making sure every detail—from seating arrangements to audio-visual setup—ran like clockwork. His enthusiasm and expertise elevated the whole gala, creating that rare feeling where you feel both pampered and at home. Overall, if you’re hosting or attending an event at the Holiday Inn Redding, their restaurant and team deliver perfection. Highly recommend for any occasion—five stars!
Definitely over priced for wat u get! Stayed 3 nights 480 dollars no microwave in room! No local calls! Would have liked a few more amenities for that price! I forgot to mention!!!! The staff was awesome! Very professional and a pleasure to interact with!
Courteous staff. Everyone greeted us warmly. Rooms were clean. They even offered us late checkout. Breakfast was meh. Probably because their restaurant is under construction. Location is great. Overall I’d recommend this place
The Xfinity network signal was very weak. I desperately needed internet access, and that's when the trouble started. I couldn't connect. And why can't anything be done about the heater that rattles all night like a diesel engine?
I love this place. This will be my go to place when I travel. Rebecca was the most sweetest and nice person I met. Everyone was nice and professional. Will not be booking anywhere else besides here when I come to Redding. The rooms are excellent and very clean. Everything was best. Thank you!
This hotel has outdone themselves. With a recent renovation it is gorgeous. My brother stayed with me who lives in California and said he will now be coming to this hotel when he's traveling for work. The ladies up front were very nice. The rooms were very nice beds were comfortable and if I was ever in the Redding area again I would stay here. Due to the Renovations the restaurant was not open at this time. So instead they had a nice little breakfast for the people. Free of charge
11/29/2025 Holiday Inn, 1900 Hilltop drive, Redding,CA The front desk representative Ms. FAITH did not represent your business well. She was unfriendly, unkind, and did not treat us with respect as guests!!! ??? :
I like there are many types of chargers for your car. The coffee's really good too. I've seen a lot of the hotels and this is the best Holiday inn Express nicely remodeled clean super friendly
Where do I start? I'm still staying in it till monday... But so far, the only thing good about it is location.. We only got to stay in at 1 night. The bed and pillows is the only reason that its getting two stars one for pillows and one for bed. As far as the rest of the experience we park up front, thinking it's a normal hotel, when we get our keys and Check-in, we find out. We have to go upstairs, go outside a door. Walk all the way outside to the other side of the facility to another building in 104 weather with luggage, then go through another set of doors. Make your way down the long corridor to room... That was first night... As we are on our second night, we decide to drive around and park closer to the building that our entrance is at... We try the first door it's broken and in pieces at the keypad... Walk around to the other side. My key doesn't work... My wife's key doesn't work... Then we walk all the way to the other entrance keys both don't work... So then, at this point we walked all the way back to the back of the lobby door which also requires a key card to get in... Still can't get in..had to pound on door untill someone heard us and opened another guest btw... Then had to wait five minutes while front desk clerk was on phone.. finally got new keys made and hiked all the way back... First time using the shower came next and the handicap bar mounting plate flapping all over the place slippery as can be almost fell, hair all over shower wall wasn't cleaned... The tub water did not drain. So you had to stand in dirty soapy water.... And now I'm writing this. No need to keep going. As nothing else is to report, but this is plenty already! Way too much money paid for this unenjoyaable stay!
